Lady J Updates: Zine + Prompt and Birthday Requests

 Hi hi everyone \o/ it’s been a long time since I’ve sent an email update! I hope you're all having wonderful days and a very good start to the midyear ❤️ this is a long post, so please forgive me the length, but I just wanted to drop by with some updates and surprises I've been cooking up in the background. I hope you'll enjoy what I have to share with you overall 💕

1—Zine

For the first update, I wanted to share that we are in the last few days of preorders for the FF Ladies Zine: Lucida Sidera and will be closing up the shop after May 17, so if you're at all interested in picking up a copy, please do make your purchase soon as there are only 5 days left ! 💖

This zine acts as a true love letter to the ladies of Final Fantasy. We've unlocked multiple stretch goals, including more FFXIV stickers and prints for the wonderful Ysayle and Y'shtola. And in the pages itself, we have pieces centered on Minfilia, Krile, Tataru, Zero, not to mention the rest of the ladies of Final Fantasy like Lightning, Tifa, Yuffie, Jill, Terra and more!

And below is my snippet for the piece I wrote for the Zine, a scene that focuses on the Bloody Banquet to be more exact. I did my best to capture the absolute grief and emotion we all felt during those first few extended cutscenes. I hope it will bring justice to that portion of the story as you read it, tysm!

2—Patreon Prompt Requests

Second of all, I've been thinking a lot lately about trying not to be so commission brained all the time. Because as much fun as it's been working on everything, and though it is still my absolute priority, I've noticed I tend to be more straightlaced with my work lately, more of a perfectionist and too specific with what I share and what I put my time to, so that really doesn't give me a lot of a chance to relax and write and just publish random things for fun.

So I’ve opened up two new offerings on my Patreon, namely:

• Prompts Requests for Jazzele and G’raha

• Birthday Drabble Requests for Patreon Members.

First off: We have the Prompt Requests for Jazzele and G’raha. Some notes are:

• these are applicable to anyone at any paid tier, $2 and up.

• These requests you share with me will work as practice warm ups, drabbles I finish in a certain number of hours etc. and will focus only on Jazzele and/or G'raha.

• So I'd like to see what I can create with these requested words or phrases, like my own personal XIV Write, of sorts lol!

And while I do have my own list of personal WIP's that I definitely need to get to asap and I've been working on them in the background, I find even on those I'm a little too severe with what I write. Thus, I'd like to request assistance from supporters to share some concepts with me so I can play around with it and get 'permission' of sorts to just write at will.

Secondly: in an effort to give back to everyone that's supporting me, but also not to add too much to my current work load, I would like to try doing birthday requests!

This will be an ongoing benefit year round, and works the same way as the Prompt Requests above. The only difference is, members may make a request for their or theirs WoL's birthday, give me a short prompt, and I may or may not provide something on those special days to help celebrate it.

💫 To confirm a few important things:

• These are not commission requests.

• They are not guaranteed.

• These are skeb-like in nature, thus there is no check in nor previews to be shared, members are allowed to try and specify what they want but they may not get it.

• I choose the length, and they could be less than 200 words like a tumblr drabble, or more than 400 etc, depending on the nature of the inspiration provided.

• These are only available to those in the $5 tier and up. 

Basically this is just an additional benefit I'm adding to the paid tiers to try and give back to everyone for their support, but again, they are not guaranteed, so please forgive me if I miss both birthdays all through the year, even if one has signed up to the $5 tier specifically for it.

I want these pieces to be small creations I can create for the love of writing, and my priority will be my full commissions and my personal work, so I do apologize if I can't get to everyone, but I do promise to truly try my best. 🙇‍♀️

Once more to reiterate, these will basically be warm up drabbles that allow me to just create something for fun for my supporters, like an artist does with their sketches at an art party. So please go into it with that same mindset, no expectations but just my gentle attempts to try and celebrate those special days with you / your blorbos.

I do believe I've captured everything I mean to share for now! I'm currently halfway through my comm queue and will be opening again at the end of July as promised, I will only be taking a few slots this time around as I plan to finish early and then focus on personal fics at the end of the year, but I look forward to seeing all new requests at that time.

By additional request I will be opening 1 more Euphoria slot for guaranteed long fic comms, but if anyone else is interested in requesting a future long fic ( 7k+ words ) and would like another slot to open, please let me know and I will speak with you how to proceed on that end.

In the meantime, thank you so much for your support and for being here, and for still being keen on reading my work even now! I am truly beyond grateful and I cannot begin to explain what a balm you all have been to me these past few months, especially at a time when the Twitter algorithm and AI both proves to be such a genuine terror in the creative sphere, its been a comfort to know I still have a safe space to keep sharing my work with you all!
